Roman Villa Museum

Terracotta lined arched entrance to the furnace of a grain dryer within our Roman Villa Museum project. 400mm thick rammed earth sits on a stone plinth to form the walls. The plan of the grain dryer matches one found during the original archaeological dig on the site. The working furnace will be used to dry newly harvested grains.

The project is nearing completion and exhibition installation commences soon.

Work Recommences: Roman Villa Museum

In line with CLC guidance on operating construction sites, work recommences on our Roman Villa Museum.
2.4m by 5m glass panels will be installed this week (weather depending!)
Diamond-shaped Blue Lias roofing tiles are also being installed. The shape is derived from the original roof tiles found during archaeological excavations on site. The tiles are sourced from a quarry local to site. Each tile is unique in shape and size.

Planning Permission at Timber_Mill_Box

Real World Studios in partnership with Stonewood has received planning permission for the redevelopment of the two separate sites known as the “Timber Yard” and “Millside” alongside the Bybrook in Box, Wiltshire. The project is known as Timber_Mill_Box.

The ambition for the development is to create a community of high quality new housing complemented by modern business space to encourage forward-thinking companies in Box to thrive.
